This Christopher Reynolds is probably the one who arrived in Virginia in 1622 aboard the John and Francis. He no doubt is also the “Chr. Reinold” on the Feb. 16, 1623/4 muster list which lists 33 people living at “Warascoyack”, a plantation in the vicinity of the Pagan River in what became Isle of Wight County.
Christopher Reynolds, Servant
A year later Christopher Reynolds is listed on the muster of the same location as one of the 12 servants of Edward Bennett, a London merchant and ship owner who held the patent for Warascoyack and had imported 120 settlers, most of whom died from illness, starvation or the Indian massacres. After the Good Friday massacre in 1622, the governor ordered the plantation abandoned and its inhabitants back to Jamestown.
